Julia Duffy

Julia Duffy is best known for her long-running role of Stephanie on “Newhart,” for which she received seven Emmy nominations, one Golden Globe nomination, and five American Comedy Award nominations. Other series roles are “Designing Women” (Allison Sugarbaker), “Wizards and Warriors,” “Baby Talk,” and “The Mommies,” as well as numerous films, TV movies, and guest roles, including the Coen Brothers’ black comedy “Intolerable Cruelty.” She has more than 20 theatre roles on and off Broadway, and in regional theatre. Julia was most recently seen in HBO’s “Looking,” Showtime’s “Shameless,” “Key and Peele,” “The Cool Kids,” and “Grandaddy Day Care” for Universal Pictures. She is also the author of the recently released book “How Not to Book Bad Auditions.” Julia has enjoyed playing some bizarre characters in various Thrilling Adventure Hour shows, some of which she still doesn’t completely understand.
