Audible presents: The Indignities of Being a Woman

Join celebrated comedy writers Merrill Markoe and Megan Koester as they explore the increasingly relevant question – “Why the hell are women still being treated like second class citizens?” Merrill and Megan will be joined by a special guest moderator as they discuss issues from their latest Audible release, “The Indignities of Being a Woman”, such as body image, marriage, sex, and mental illness. They’ll examine what it was like to be a woman in the past versus what it’s like now, when women are constantly told equality between the sexes exists but reality proves otherwise. Check out the insightful Audible Original at audible.com/Indignities

Merrill Markoe is a multi-award-winning comedy writer whose credits span television, magazines, and books. She has four Emmy Awards, one for each of her dogs. Megan Koester has written for VICE, Jezebel and the Guardian and has one basic cable acting credit. The two writers—one a comedy veteran, the other an emerging talent—intersperse their dry wit with their own experiences of being long-suffering feminists in the modern world. This is a partially seated show—arrive early for a seat. $20, 21+  Co-presented by LitQuake
